Why I Created a Crochet Planner to Stay Organized (and Actually Finish Projects)

If you’re anything like me, your crochet life includes a little bit of magic... and a whole lot of loose ends.

At any given time, I’ve got yarn skeins tucked in baskets, a project or two (or five) half-finished, and scribbled notes in random notebooks, trying to remember which hook I used, how many skeins I bought, or what the pattern even was. It’s part of the process, but honestly, it can get frustrating.

So I finally sat down and created the tool I needed: a printable Crochet Project Planner.

It’s simple, clean, and meant to be used — not just admired. And it’s now available in my Etsy shop in case it’s something you’d find helpful, too.

A peek at the printable pages I created for my own crochet space.

What’s Inside?

The planner includes 10 printable pages, designed for real crocheters (not just the Pinterest-perfect kind). I kept it minimal but purposeful — no fluff, no clutter.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Project Tracker – track everything from start date to final notes

  • WIP Log – keep your in-progress projects in one tidy place

  • Yarn Inventory – never forget what you have (or how many skeins you still need)

  • Hook & Notion Inventory – because you know you’ve bought duplicates

  • Finished Projects Log – look back and feel proud of what you’ve made

  • Pattern Idea Page – space to sketch, plan, and brainstorm

  • Checklist + Notes Pages – for all the other bits and pieces we juggle

Why I Made It…

I wanted a space that felt intentional — something I could print and tuck into a binder, or leave on my project table. I didn’t want it to feel like homework. I wanted it to feel like a helper. I wanted something that kept me moving forward, reminded me what I’ve already done, and helped me feel a little more grounded in my creative work.

And if I’m being honest, I needed something to help me actually finish more of the projects I start.

Want to Try It?

If you’ve been looking for a way to bring more order and ease into your crochet life, I hope this planner helps you like it’s helped me.

You can find it right here in my Etsy shop:
